Guess what the last year a non-BCS team won the NCAA Tournament. It was 1990. In fact, it’s only happened 3 times since 1964. One of those was Marquette in 1977 which I count because they don’t play football, although they play basketball in a BCS conference.So tell me again why we should change the system to acommodate the Mountain West and the WAC?

That’s the point. They don’t have a shot. In either plan they don’t have a shot. You think Utah or Hawaii or Boise can go on the road three straight weeks against Ohio State, Alabama and Texas and sweep them? Hell no. The only true way for a little guy to have a shot at the National Title is to become a big guy. That’s it. No other way. So why do we want to change the system to accomodate teams that have no shot anyway?

Why would they be different cities? Do you currently go to away games as it is? If so, I doubt it would affect you anyways. Make them top seed plays at home to bring money back to the city and the championship game only goes to the major city or what not.

You’re right but right now only the big boys have a shot as it is, with a 8 team playoff you can have a boise state or utah or two that at least have a shot. It’s better to have lost love than to never love at all.

Ok so you still have three games to go to. Who has three straight weeks they can use for vacation? Who’s got the money to travel to three different cities? The bottom line is whatever problems there sre with the BCS, they can’t be solved by going to a playoff. The Big Boys still get all the advantages. The little guys still get shafted. Look at the NCAA Tournament. The big guys play the little guys and crush them. Most of the time it’s within driving distance of the big guy’s campus.

Maybe not 16, I think I’ve stated 8 teams in my debate for a playoff with others in the past. 8 teams. 4 games 1st saturday, 2 games the next saturday and championship following week. 3 Weeks.

Ok so we have a 16 team playoff. Which game are you going to go to? Because you can’t just take a month and a half off of work to go to all of them.

I don’t know Jim, I would like the BCS to stay but use it to get a 16 team playoff.
