Tim Tebow Not Unanimous First Team All SEC

16 Gators were named to an All SEC team. Of those 16, 8 were named First Team. But something about this got on my nerves and it has to do with Tim Tebow. Yes he was named to the First Team All SEC but he wasn’t a unanimous vote. So forgive me about this blog post as I will go in a different direction than most of my posts and rant and rave a little on this.
Coaches were not allowed to vote for members of their own teams and there were only three players who were unanimous selections — LSU’s Ciron Black, Tennessee’s Eric Berry and Alabama’s Julio Jones. That means Tebow was not a unanimous choice.
If you vote Ciron Black, Eric Berry and Julio Jones unanimously to First Team ALL SEC, how in the hell do you leave off Tim Tebow from your list? Yes I understand he made First Team ALL SEC but it wasn’t unanimous which chaps my ass. That means there is someone out there that believes there is another QB (in the SEC) that they would start ahead of Tim Tebow. I think the only person you could say you would start before Tebow would be Sam Bradford.
I for one am taking the homer approach to this and thinking they just want to hate on Timmy. I mean everyone agrees he’s one of three people that have a good shot at winning the heisman and last time I checked there wasn’t another SEC QB that was noted worthy of this award right now.
The question now is which coach was responsible for this? My bets are on Lame Kitten… err Lane Kiffin.

Either Lane Kiffin OR Steve Spurrier; SOS’ ego gets the best of him and IMO he doesn’t hide jealousy very well.

I don’t think it was SOS… Florida is his Alma Mater and, while he tries to beat them while coaching at USC, his heart still rests in Gainesville. I’d put my money on Kiffin. He’s a tool.
