In an effort to further enhance the fan experience at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, the University Athletic Association, Inc., is installing two new Daktronics High Density LED video boards in time for the 2009 football season.
South End Zone
The entire structure – 30′ x 137′ – will be full LED (Daktronics High Density 16 technology). The previous South End Zone video screen, which was 11 years old and had exceeded its life span, was 21′ x 28′.
North End Zone
The entire structure – 25′ x 70′ – will also be full LED (same technology as SEZ). The previous video board was also approximately 21′ x 28′.
Two new strip scoreboards will also be added in the north end – one in each corner – to mirror what is currently displayed in the south end corners. On the center fascia in the north end, the black-and-white matrix board has been replaced with a new board featuring full-color LED technology.

The 100 plus foot addition is a monster of a video monitor and is sure to be nice to watch replays of big plays on.
Would like to thank Jesus Rodriguez for the big picture that was used for the display on the homepage.
