Urban Meyer Cover of Sports Illustrated

Tim Tebow and now Urban Meyer. On the special edition of the SEC Preview, Urban Meyer has landed himself on the cover. There were several others with Nick Saban, Lane Kiffin etc.
I have to admit it’s not what I invisioned for the Sports Illustrated cover for Meyer. It wasn’t exactly what Tim Tebow or Urban Meyer had in mind either for the cover. Nonetheless, the reflection in the glasses of the Gators is pretty sweet.
Tim Tebow couldn’t help but take a jab at Meyer:
“That has to be the most ridiculous cover photo ever,” quarterback Tim Tebow told the Gainesville Sun. “How’d they convince him to do that?”
The cover wasn’t what Meyer had in mind when doing the shoot though:
“The guy took like 20 pictures, and at the end, he said, ‘Hey, just one time, can you take a picture with your glasses?’” Meyer said with a smile. “I said, ‘No, I’m not doing it.’ He said, ‘C’mon, it’s just for me.’ ‘OK, one picture.’”
“And that’s the one they used.”

Actually, Lane Kiffin was also there at Urban’s photo shoot for SI. He just stopped by to tell Urban that he was #1.

As much as Urban didn’t like that pose, he looks like a badass in that pic – “Mess with me and I’ll crush you” or “You think you have me figured out yet – well, do you?”
