I think Peter is right in saying Tim Tebow will not get through the 1st round without being drafted. There is too much emphasis being put on his inability to throw the football. What ever happened to just drafting the "best" player at your draft position. If the Jaguars were to let him slip by their #11 position, they really need to have their heads examined. Not only would this help your fan base in Florida, it might help your team from being blacked out every Sunday. Tebow is a flat out winner and I would take him as a QB on my team any day. His heart alone is enough to draft him and worst case scenario, a guy this athletic could be used at another position.

Favre won't be a mentor to Tebow or anyone. When he was with the Packers, Favre said was not going to mentor Aaron Rogers. Rogers was going to have to learn and get his experience the hard way, on his own, just like Favre was forced to do. Favre wouldn't want Tebow as a possible limelight stealer. I would be suprised if Tebow wasn't taken in the 1st round due to a team's desire to grab him before someone else does. Tebow is a total package. With all of his talents, he will be a developmental project for the team that gets him. His name and other intangibles will go along way.

I would love to see Tebow go to the Jaguars. But only if they can get him in the second round. I believe the Jags will be picking somewhere in the teens and that Timmy would be a bit of a reach there. I think that Minnesota would be a good place for him with all the talent they have there. He is ready to lead a team, but I don't see him being the team.

Tim will be one of the best backups in the NFL, as most of the Gator QBs have turned out to be. That having been said, normally you don't stretch into 1st round territory for a backup. What sets Tim apart, as all Gators know, if his extraordinary character and charisma. I don't see one team in the league not willing to take a late first or early second "flyer" on this type of player, with the exception of:
- some of the more "businesslike" franchises such as the Patriots
- teams comfortable with their "Wildcat" system, such as the Dolphins
- teams like the Jags. A leaking boat doesn't need a captain...
- teams with immediate QB needs, like the Vikings, who will need a QB in the short term

My thoughts? The Eagles, Giants and Saints all have established QBs, no gaping holes to fill and coaches who respect players with great attitudes. The Bengals, Cowboys and Steelers are dark horses, but it would be CLASSIC to see the Steeler smash-mouth defense married to a smash-mouth offensive player like Tebow.

Hopefully Jaguars. They need his type of play horribly. They have lost the fun of the game, he could bring it back.
