Spring Countdown: Time to sink or swim
Over the past five recruiting cycles, the Gators have landed four classes ranked in the top three in the Rivals.com team recruiting rankings. Since their arrival in Gainesville, Urban Meyer and staff have significantly increased the talent level on the football squad. However, there are only so many players who can see the field at one time. That means those who aren't contributing, will end up being buried on the depth chart. GatorBait.net continues its spring countdown with five players who should get the opportunity to sink or swim over the course of 15 spring practices

(read more)Random Thoughts: Winners or Losers?
Never mind the great debate about whether Florida needs to win one or two games in Atlanta to get off the NCAA Tournament bubble. When the SEC Tournament starts tomorrow, something more elemental is at stake. The Gators have to beat Auburn for the sake of their own self-worth. Losers blow games like this. Winners don't. The Gators dropped five of their last seven games and settled for the NIT in 2009. They lost eight of their last 11 on their way to the NIT in 2008. If they lose four straight to end 2010, only one label will fit them. Losers
