Former Gator Jesse Levine qualified for his second consecutive Wimbledon tournament on Thursday, defeating Germany’s Mattias Bachinger, 6-2, 7-5, 6-2. It will mark the fifth Grand Slam singles appearance of Levine’s pro career.
“I know he wasn’t 100 percent today but you never know what will happen so I kept taking it to him and never let off,” Levine told the official Wimbledon website.
In his first Wimbledon appearance last year, Levine advanced to the second round with a victory over Australia’s Samuel Groth.
